GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 346867
Lazy-load vfolders
Last modified: 2008-05-06 11:23:48 UTC
If there are no vfolders defined, evolution still has to open every folder to populate the Unmatched vFolder. This causes lots of memory usage and slowdown. It would be great if Evolution didn't initialise the vFolder store unless there are any vFolders defined. This would save both time and memory. I did have a patch that commented out the line in Evolution that initialises the vfolder store, but I've lost it. :(
Ross, are you sure? I think unmatched is like out of the folder defined for vfolders, it puts all unmatched emails there. If there are no vfolders defined, even this is empty.
Bumping version to a stable release.
