Internet at GUADEC2006 is flacky and IRC is filtered.
I set a GIMPnet server with port 7000, and when I'm disconnected xchat-gnome tries to reconnect on the server but on port 6667

Are you sure it's not just cycling to the next server in the list?

With the lack of further information, and being completely unable to duplicate this myself, I'm going to assume it's either fixed or wasn't a problem to begin with.  Please reopen if you disagree.
