GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 345980
changing Stylesheet doesn't commit
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:08:44 UTC
Please describe the problem: in revision 14441, changing the stylesheet option is not remembered. Steps to reproduce: 1. open gnucash with books that have some data 2. go to reports/Sample & Custom/Welcome Sample Report 3. go to the bottom and click "edit options" 4. change stylesheet to easy 5. click ok 6. click edit options again. Stylesheet has reverted to default. Actual results: Expected results: settings should remember the changed value for stylesheet Does this happen every time? yes Other information:
Confirmed. The last "Edit Options" link on the report page is for the Income/Expense Chart report specifically; none of the embedded/sub-reports stylesheet options are changed. I do note that changing the options for the whole Welcome report is both retained and cascades to all the sub-reports.

Bug 517859 wrote: I can reproduce the bug in all my 2.2.7 installations. Have You closed the tab with modified report before You close and restart the GnuCash program? Here are the steps. Start GnuCash with a datafile Open the report "Berichte" -> "Erträge & Aufwendungen" -> "Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung" RightMouseKey -> "Berichtsoptionen" (or Menu "Bearbeiten" -> "Berichtsoptionen") Category "Allgemein": Change "Berichtsname:" "Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung" to "TestGuV" Change "Stilvorlage:" "Voreinstellung" to "Bunt" Klick "OK" -> The report will shown in colors "File" -> "Bericht hinzufügen.." Close the tab "TestGuV" Close Gnucash Start Gnucash again Open the report "Berichte" -> "Benutzerdefiniert" -> "TestGuV" The report will now shown with the Stylesheet "Voreinstellung", not with "Bunt". Verify: RightMouseKey -> "Berichtsoptionen" Category "Allgemein" -> "Stilvorlage:" shows "Voreinstellung"
Created attachment 122267 [details] [review] First try Does this patch work for you? It would be nice if someone could confirm that applying this does not destroy earth too eagerly :-)
Patch applied to trunk, r17728 (Not that I knew what this really does, but it looks good to me :-)
And to 2.2 branch, r17756.
