Description Steven 2006-06-18 22:24:22 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I use fedora 5 (rhythmbox 0.9.3), and upgraded to 0.9.4.1 and 0.9.5. I listen to http://www.christianrock.net and http://www.christianhardrock.net and use the default WinAMP .pls file. The newer versions of rhythmbox (0.9.x) just says 'ChristianRock.net' when I play it. In old versions (0.8.x) of rhythmbox, it would display each track and artist when it changed, but not any more. I used different distributions (fedora 1-5,centos 4,suse 9.1-10), and I have the same issues with the old versus new rhythmbox versions.

Steps to reproduce:
1. use the default winamp high-speed pls file from http://www.christianrock.net on rhythmbox 0.8.8 and 0.9.x
2. same with www.christianhardrock.net
3. make sure you have mp3 support installed.

Actual results:
With the old rhythmbox the little window from the system tray changes like it does with normal tracks, but the new versions treat christianrock.net as one never-ending track.

Expected results:
Work like it used to.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, but only with 0.9.x

You need gst-plugins-base 0.10.7 or later and gst-plugins-good 0.10.3 or later to get song title information from radio streams.
