Description Elijah Newren 2006-06-06 21:29:08 UTC
As noted in bug 338660 comment 6, the contrast between the behavior of alt-tab and alt-esc used to be more pronounced. But now, there's not so much difference -- the only real difference is that Alt-Tab is more intuitive (gives more of a sense of direct manipulation by showing the window to the user instead of hilighting it). It would seem that the current Alt-tab behavior ought to only be used when reduced-resources is true.

Of course, then there's the question of whether we keep Alt-Esc around... :)

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all
old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you still use metacity and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/metacity/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
