Please describe the problem:
I cannot select any input sources.
The sound card I am using is a soundblaster audigy 2 zs platinum. Also in the mixer there is no tab present with capture (or record).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open gnome-sound-recorder
2. Click "Record from input"
3. Nothing is there


Actual results:
The drop-down list is empty.

Expected results:
A list of sources that I can record from is displayed

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
The linux kernel i am using is 2.6.16.16 with alsa 1.0.11
