Description Meneer Jansen 2006-05-30 15:22:46 UTC
Please describe the problem:
This bus has been in Evolution Calendar for over a year. One cannot set a
custon color for a category.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Make appoint ment
2. Click "categories"
3. Tick one.
4. Choose "Edit" and then click "category color"
5. Try to set a color. It does not show up, nor is it "remembered" by Evolution.

Actual results:
No color appears.

Expected results:
The color of the appointment should change (or its background color).

Does this happen every time?
Yes! For over 2 versions of Evolution.

Other information:
I must switch back to Outlook if this persists. I cannot work with a calandar
that looks unorderly. Is this fixed in Evolution 2.6. Upgrading Evolution is
not easy: one has to upgrade Gnome as a whole.

this is not yet fixed in evo 2.6.2, but it is on the todo-list.
you do not necessarily have to update gnome as a whole, it depends on your distributor and if he provides packages.

as a workaround, you could use custom icons for the different kind of categories, perhaps... :-/
