gthumb arranges its thumbnails left to right in RTL mode
Last modified: 2009-10-16 18:41:11 UTC
gthumb arranges its icons left to right in RTL mode. it is supposed to arrange its icons from right to left in RTL mode. to reproduce it: 1. run "LC_ALL=fa_IR.UTF-8 gthumb" (make sure it is open in "folder view" mode) 2. browse until you reach to folder having some images. I will attach an screenshot.

To clarify, I think you mean that the thumbnails (slides) in the "View As Slides" mode are being positioned incorrectly (left to right). It works OK in the "View as List" mode. This is confirmed in 2.9.1. - Mike
I think this is hardcoded into libgthumb/gth-image-list.c. I don't think it's a trivial fix. - Mike
This seems to be fixed in ext branch, the current development version (see http://live.gnome.org/gthumb). - Mike
It is still valid in latest version of gthumb in fedora 11. gthumb 2.10.11 check the attachment. it is still arranging the icons from left to right in rtl mode!

This problem has been fixed in the development version (ext branch). The fix will be available in the next major software release (2.11.0). The 2.10.x series is not being actively maintained, and won't be fixed. - Mike
