That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/39622

"Edit an event, change it around so the summary is NO CLASS!! click save, select "this instance only" and click ok, then it pops up an error saying "Object ID already exists". This is version 2.6.1 in Dapper with all the updates."

Changing Location also results in this error. Also possibly other fields.
