Description Thomas D Ahle 2006-05-11 13:02:48 UTC
When opening a file with very long lines, lets say 10KB per line, gedit either crashes, or becomes extreamly slow.
If you by using some script breaks the file on shorter lines, gedit opens it smoothly.
I guess gedit or panga calculates the linebreaks everytime it updates the screen. Maybe it should only do that, when resizing the window?

That's fair. Now I've uploaded some testcases.

Just thought you might have been able to create them your self,
