Description Christian Morales Vega 2006-05-06 17:08:33 UTC
In bug #141189 was first requested support for SPC. Looks like it was added in
GStreamer 0.8, but isn't in 0.10. I don't know why it was removed in 0.10, but
could be possible to readd it?
If someone is interested just two weeks ago the SNESAPU library, that the 0.8
plug-in was using, was updated after a long period:
http://www.alpha-ii.com/Source/index.html There are API changes, but I just
tried and the spcplay from
http://c133.org/blog/tech/its_a_good_thing_i_exist.html works with the new
SNESAPU version with little changes, so an update shouldn't give a lot of
problems. I myself haven't a clue about C++.

pd. I don't know where a new format support request should go (plugins-good,
bad, ugly... ?).

should first go to -bad

the reason it was removed in 0.10 is that no one is actively maintaining it, and nobody bothered porting it.

You can be the one to port it ! If you're interested, join us on irc, or send a mail to the list. Look at similar elements in -base and -good for an idea on how to write the element properly.
