GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 339454
gnome-screenshot doesn't allow to select the filename anew upon hitting "Cancel" in the file-exists dialog
Last modified: 2006-04-23 13:19:57 UTC
When the file specified is already present, gnome-screenshot doesn't allow to enter another filename; the dialog prompting to replace simply causes the whole app to exit when "Cancel" is being used. Other information:
Created attachment 64134 [details] [review] This patch changes the behaviour of the app so that it allows you to enter another filename.
Probably the technically correct behavior would be to pop up a dialog in the "duplicate" handler to ask for another filename/uri, although that would be somewhat slightly annoying.
This has already been filed in bug 167188, which also has a patch for it. Not sure which one is the best, but you should probably add your patch to that bug and keep the discussion there. Thanks for contributing! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 167188 ***
