Description Andrew Conkling 2006-04-20 03:31:33 UTC
While I think Epiphany's handling of the smart bookmarks is well-designed and
effective, I still prefer to be able to use keywords in the address entry, e.g.
"g epiphany coolness" will search Google, etc. (as configured in the bookmark's
properties).

Smart bookmarks are incredibly efficient for frequent searching, however it
becomes a hindrance to select the correct bookmark from the list: I have to find
it and either go to the mouse to select it or scroll to it.

Thanks for taking the time to file this bug report. Bug 118618 has a not-quite-finished extension that implements the requested behaviour.

As an alternative, you can use the deskbar-applet, it already supports bookmark nicknames and it can open epiphany for you.

Please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

Sorry about that; I hadn't thought to search in epiphany-extensions!
