GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 339003
sx editor too large for screen
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:01:48 UTC
SVN 1.9.5, r13796. To reproduce: Actions->Scheduled Transactions->Scheduled Transaction Editor->New The control buttons for the dialogue are invisible below the edge of the screen and I can only close the window using the window manager X control that causes a cancel.
At what resolution? I'd believe it at 800x600, but I know this is not true at 1024x768. I don't think we care about 800x600 anymore.
My TFT panel only supports 1024 x 768. Maybe it's a KDE thing - I'll test in Gnome later.
OK. Tested in Gnome and although the buttons are *just about visible*, the dialogue blocks access to the bottom panel that allows switching to another program or workspace. The bottom margin of the dialogue is still off the bottom of the screen.

The bottom margin of the dialogue is still off the bottom > of the screen. I re-viewed the recording I happened to make last night of the SX editor on a 1024x768 screen, and there's plenty of room [see about mid-way through http://asynchronous.org/tmp/part5.html]. Can you provide a screenshot?
I can't view your screenshot at that URL - it appears to be Flash/plugin based. This is mine: http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/339003.jpg

might be nice to re-design/-layout the SX editor, but it's not critical.
I'm using Ubuntu with default settngs. My screen is 1024x768. I am unable to see below the test status field for the transaction. It looks like there is a lot of space around the numbers in the calendar and the transaction register has a lot of space. Dropping the font size from 10 to 9 shrinks up everything gaining enough space that the buttons are partially visible thus providing a work around.
r15841. The 3 major components are now on separate notebook pages.
