GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 338601
Navigation keybindings do not match GNOME convention
Last modified: 2006-04-17 04:37:56 UTC
Coming from other GNOME applications, the navigation keybindings are not what one would expect. Go to Previous Image is Ctrl+PageUp, but should be Alt+Left and Next Image is Ctrl+PageDown, which should be Alt+Right. Perhaps the Ctrl+Page accelerators could stay, but they should not be marked as default IMO (i.e. in the menus) Other information: EOG 2.14 is great; I gave up on it in years past, but am impressed with its design now! :)
Hmm, I should also add that the arrow keys (Left, Right) should also apply to image navigation, if only in slideshow/fullscreen view.
Hi Andrew, this bug has been fixed in HEAD (2.15.x) by a patch 61126 from bug #310455. Marking as a duplicate. Thanks for the report! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 310455 ***
