GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 338220
'Show trailing zeroes' option cannot be selected
Last modified: 2006-04-12 17:54:12 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #143924 +++ I tried to re-open bug #143924 but could not so I cloned it instead. This is still an issue in gnome 2.14, the Show Trailing Zeros menu option is always greyed out, regardless of calculator type, you can use Ctrl-T and you can even see the check box has changed after pressing ctrl-T and viewing the menu again, however the menu item itself is never selectable. 1. Launch gcalctool, dosen;t matter what mode. 2. View->Show Trailing Zeros, menu option is never available.
I can recreate the problem. If you go to a mode other than "Scientific", the "Show Trailing Zeroes" menu item is set inactive because the Acc (Accuracy) button is not available. Trouble is that if you then go back to viewing by "Scientific" mode, this menu item is not re-activated. A work-around is to go to "Scientific" mode the quit the calculator. When you restart it, the "Show Trailing Zeroes" menu item should be active. Looking into a fix now...
Created attachment 63325 [details] Patch to (hopefully) fix the problem.
