GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 337748
Playlists don't handle ampersands correctly
Last modified: 2006-04-08 23:27:43 UTC
Please describe the problem: In non-automatic playlists, inserting a song whose id3 tag contains special characters causes rhythmbox to sometimes crash and to always not include the song in the playlist. Using my music library, I've found that songs or artists containing + or & cause this behavior. While I haven't tested this, it would stand to reason that this behavior persists with other special characters. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create new playlist 2. insert song whose tag contains special characters 3. Actual results: Often, rhythmbox will crash. Always, the playlist remains empty. Expected results: The song should be included in the playlist. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information:
