GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 337217
Notification for birthdays
Last modified: 2006-04-04 16:07:03 UTC
Please describe the problem: First off, I don't know if this bug report is valid, but after asking in #gnome and #evolution - and nobody able to tell me - I thought I'd file this bug. What I want is that I get notification for birthdays. The calendar displays the dates of my contact's birthdays just fine, but I can't seem to find a way to give me an alarm or notification popup, say, one day before the birthday. What confuses me are the preferences Preferences -> Calendar and Tasks -> General: Show a reminder 1 day bevore every appointment and Preferences -> Calendar and Tasks -> Alarms: [x] Birthdays One would think one of these would do what I wanted to achieve? So now my question, am I doing something wrong or is this really not possible with current evolution? Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time?
