Description Alan Horkan 2006-04-03 15:19:53 UTC
At first i thought Serpentine wasn't following the Gnome Menu and toolbar preferences (detachable, show icons, or icons and text, or text beside icons etc). it is but only at startup when ideally it should change when the settings change. feel free to mark this as extremely low priority.
Comment 1 Tiago Cogumbreiro 2006-04-03 20:24:16 UTC
Isn't the application react to the key changing _instantly_ rather then only at startup?
Comment 2 Alan Horkan 2006-04-03 22:13:52 UTC
Some applications do react instantly. Some like gnumeric offer a way to change the setting from within the application preferences. Whatever you prefer. if you like I could ask on the gnome usability mailing list and find out if people think it is really necessary to change instantly since you have done the important bit which is to follow the system defaults.
Comment 3 Tiago Cogumbreiro 2006-04-04 01:19:43 UTC
Funny part is that Serpentine _used_ to react instantly, you just made me realize that I accidentally made a regression and disabled it. However I've corrected it on SVN.

I you ask on the usability list it would be great.
Comment 4 Alan Horkan 2006-04-13 15:30:10 UTC
If you can provide this feature without any issues than presumably it is better to provide it. I'm not going to ask on the usability list unless you really think it is still necessary. Marking this as fixed based on your comments.
