GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 335572
Bookmark import needs to recreate original layout more closely
Last modified: 2016-10-07 21:28:26 UTC
When importing existing bookmarks, the original layout of the bookmarks is totally lost. I understand that the system is totally different, but at least the Bookmarks toolbar should be the same. Other information:
harves, do you think it would be possible to translate a mozilla bookmarks toolbar folder to an epiphany toolbar?
Is this bug still valid with the latest stable Epiphany release, 2.18.2?
I don't think we are exporting toolbar information with bookmarks, html and rdf are expected to be used with ephy or whatever you choose, cheat bookmarks could be used to export toolbar info though. Not sure if we want to do that although, you can just copy your .gnome2/epiphany dir if you also want to take toolbars with you.
Hi, the bookmarks code has been rewritten from scratch. When you have a convenient opportunity to test the new version of the code (which will be present in Epiphany 3.23.1) please check to see if your issue is still a problem, and reply here. Thanks!
Hi, this is a mass close of all bugs in the NEEDINFO state. If you think this bug was closed improperly, just leave a comment, thanks!
