GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 333974
Evolution crashes when you attempt to edit a sent encrypted message as new
Last modified: 2006-03-10 12:14:57 UTC
Steps to reproduce: Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Write an email. Sign and encrypt using gpg. 2. Send the email. 3. Locate your sent mail folder. 4. Right click on the encrypted message. 5. You will either be prompted for your key - enter it or not. It doesn't matter. If it's cached, it will decrypt in the preview pane. It doesn't matter for the next step. In either case the same steps are for 6 and 7. 6. Select the contextual menu item of "Edit as New Item..." 7. Watch evolution crash and burn. Stack trace: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Other information: Distribution: Ubuntu 5.10 (breezy) Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: GNOME2.12.1 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Description of the crash: After sending an encrypted and signed message with evolution, I attempted to edit the original and resend this message. This failed after attempted to edit as a new item. Expected Results: Evolution should decrypt the message and allow me to work with it as if it was any other message. How often does this happen? Everytime. Additional Information: This is a stupid bug. I can't believe that I'm the first to find it. This has to be a dupe that was just overlooked or a simple bug that was fixed quickly. Sorry to waste your time if that's the case. If that's not the case, I hope this gets some attention. It's safe to say that it's a pretty big deal for those of us that want to re-edit email messages we've previously sent. Thanks for your time.
no, you're the second person. :-) therefore confirming bug 322862 and marking this one as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 322862 ***
