Description Peter Shinners 2006-03-04 18:12:59 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The combo button "Record from input:" in Sound Recorder is so large it doesn't
fit on the screen. Scrolling the menu it brings up shows about two screens worth
of choices (at 1600x1200). This is on a Ubuntu Dapper system using ALSA on a
Sound Blaster Live (emu10k1). There is only a single sound card running on this
machine.

It seems most of the entries are duplicated 3 or 4 times, so there are many
choices for "Microphone". No idea of they are the same microphone device or not.

Does this happen every time?

Is this related to bug #329922, ie. is your list like that from the start or does it get longer every time you start recording?
Comment 3 Peter Shinners 2006-03-04 18:57:55 UTC
Yes, at startup there is only one of each item, about 16 entries.
