Description Sebastien Bacher 2006-02-20 10:05:46 UTC
That bug has been described on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/control-center/+bug/32078

"If you select a sound and push the play button in the sound preferences window, it will continue to play until it is finished. When playing longer sound effects (log in/log out), this can be a pain. It would be a nice polish to change the "Play" button to a "Stop" button (usually a solid box) once play is pushed. This stop button would stop the sound from being played in the middle of the sound. Once the sound finishes, or stop is pressed, the "Play" button would return."

I thinks it's a bug, not "enhancement". I chose a wrong sound file and I had to listen 1:00 track with no way to stop it...

I would rise an a severity and priority. I don't think it is a problem to implement...

There's no play buttons for sound preview any more.
