Description Злобный Цэнэбит 2006-02-19 12:18:55 UTC
After "startx" (as i understand) gnome-session run gnome-panel with --sm-client-id.
Gnome-panel (2.13.91) don't have this option.
I tryed to edit /usr/share/default.session, but in don't help. (Sorry for my English :-) )
After edit default.session "gnome-panel --sm-client0-id default1" -> "gnome-panel &" gnome-panel started, but nautilus don't started. :-(

I can confirm that. Gnome-Panel 2.13.91 seems to lack session support.
Comment 2 Злобный Цэнэбит 2006-02-27 15:19:21 UTC
Hmmmmm, It's very anormal. After "by-hand" compile gnome-2.13.91, gnome-panel now accepting "--sm-client" option. :-?
I use gentoo-2005.1-r1. After emerge system, i emerged X.org-7.0. After x.org i compiled gnome-2.13.91 and after startx session started completely and very fast :-).
time cat /usr/share/dicts/words  -> 0.88sec. "CFLAGS=-Os -march=pentium4 -fforce-mem -fforce-addr -ffast-math -pipe"
This is not a bug, it's a inconsistency whith preceding version of gnome-session and (maybe) some pref. or option files or init-session scripts. ???
(Sorry for my english).
