Description Brian J. Murrell 2006-02-15 19:30:30 UTC
When popping up a window, don't steal focus.

Other information:
149028 seems to be the "master bug" on this issue. I will also CC Elijah Newren
as per his request.

You'll need to provide exact steps that demonstrate the bug since Evolution, by virtue of using gtk+, does get it right in many cases (in fact a couple that I just tested).
Comment 2 Brian J. Murrell 2006-03-02 21:04:19 UTC
You know what? It seems the only time I can see focus being stolen (in the case of Evolution anyway) is when Evo starts up, but that would likely be a Metacity (proper) issue, right? So maybe this bug needs to go back over to Metacity.

Sorry for the confusion.

Can I change the Product in this bug to Metacity or is that bad etiquette?

Ah, if it's just the Evo-startup-mishandled bug then it's a duplicate.
