GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 330325
rhythmbox crash when adding another radio station
Last modified: 2006-02-14 12:05:35 UTC
Distribution: Debian testing/unstable Package: rhythmbox Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.12.2 0.9.3 Gnome-Distributor: Debian Synopsis: rhythmbox crash when adding another radio station Bugzilla-Product: rhythmbox Bugzilla-Component: Internet Radio Bugzilla-Version: 0.9.3 BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.12.0) Description: Description of the crash: I added a new URL pointing to a local interface where Gnome PeerCast was running. I then changed its name to a human readable one. The name of the peer cast is "This is my server name". When I clicked the play button, the crash occured. Previously added peercasts did play for a while, then simply stopped. I attributed that to the availability of peers. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/rhythmbox' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". What format is peercast streaming? If it's ogg vorbis, this is probably the same as bug 320984.
It was OGG/Vorbis. The OGG file from bug 320984 showed length of 24 seconds and played till about the middle when it went on silent. On reaching the 24th second the Play button was still pressed. I tried to deactivate the playback by clicking the Next button, and the Play button depressed. However, on clicking the Play button again the rhythmbox'es interface freezed forever.
This is still a bug in gstreamer, closing as a duplicate of bug #320984. Feel free to open if there is still a problem after that bug is fixed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 320984 ***
