Description Luca Ferretti 2006-02-01 21:28:08 UTC
Please describe the problem:
It seems that volume_knob icon is not installed by gnome-icon-theme. Please note
that this icon is "deprecated" after the switch to icon naming utils. The proper
icon is now multimedia-volume-control.

Here is a patch to use the new icon. OK to commit?

PS can I eventually fix and commit similar stuff without open bugs?

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Improved patch

This patch also updates the applet to use the audio-volume-* status icons, rather than the old stock_volume-* names, in accordance with the naming spec.
Comment 3 Luca Ferretti 2006-02-05 22:13:31 UTC
I was wrong. Proposed patch is not the proper solution by now, it's a regression.

Note infact that all a11y themes are not yet portet to icon naming standard.

By now (2.13/2.14) the component to fix/check is icon-naming-utils.

This is not a bug, at least for GNOME 2.14. We will wait to see what the next gnome-icon-theme has to offer.
