Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.
Comment 2 Christopher Beland 2006-01-27 16:17:14 UTC
Unfortunately, I do not have a corefile; the live application was traced on the way down. I will be happy to install more debuginfo RPMs to provide a better trace if this happens again. I have already installed debuginfo RPMs for evolution, glib2, glibc, glibc-common, gtk2, mozilla, and pango. What am I missing? -B.
Comment 3 parthasarathi susarla 2006-02-02 04:31:26 UTC
bug #308354 is a possible duplicate. I really think this is a gtk+ issue.

Install debuginfo RPMs of evolution-data-server as well.

Also, marking the bug as NEEDINFO.

Ugh... The stacktrace got debugging symbols. Also, this is not e-d-s crashing, but Evo. The trace of the crashing thread even shows debugging symbols for GTK+.

REOPENing.
Comment 6 Mart Raudsepp 2007-02-05 03:26:33 UTC
I experienced this crash too now once in the same conditions - I was dragging mails from one IMAP folder to another and after dragging two mails I didn't wait the move to finalize before starting to drag a third mail. The crash seemed to happen around the time the two mails I dragged earlier were supposed to get a strikethrough (I don't hide deleted but not expunged emails).

I also have an identical backtrace but with debugging information in some other components/threads than the original:

Oh and some of my package versions:

glib - 2.12.9
pango - 1.14.10
gtk+ - 2.10.9
evolution-data-server - 1.8.2
gtkhtml - 3.12.2
evolution - 2.8.2.1
Comment 8 Srinivasa Ragavan 2007-12-31 16:20:43 UTC
Hmm, this might be fixed in 2.12. Just see bug #351672
Comment 9 André Klapper 2008-07-19 12:25:00 UTC
Is this still an issue?
Comment 10 Christopher Beland 2008-07-19 15:36:29 UTC
I haven't seen this happen in a long time.
