GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 328643
Inconsistency in dual headed desktop switching using CTRL+ALT+[arrowkeys]
Last modified: 2006-03-25 15:25:55 UTC
Please describe the problem: [note: xorg.conf: screen 1 rightof screen 0] Desktop :0.1 doesn't behave normally when switching using CTRL+ALT+[arrowkeys]. The problem is minor and is resolved by simply "left clicking" on the background. Steps to reproduce: The following assumes the mouse is sitting on desktop :0.0, there are 3 workspaces in the workspace switchers and both displays are on workspace 1 (the left-most workspace). 1. move mouse to display :0.1 2. "left click" on the background (select desktop :0.1) 3. press CTRL+ALT+[right-arrow] Actual results: The display is switched to workspace 2 but the workspace switcher "hud" (appears in the centre of the desktop) remains on-screen and subsequent presses of the [left-arrow] or [right-arrow] buttons have no effect. If I follow the same proceedure but use CTRL+ALT+[left-arrow] instead it behaves normally, probably because I am on the left-most workspace already. The same applies if I am on workspace 3 (right-most workspace) and use CTRL+ALT+[right-arrow]. Expected results: Workspace should switch and continue to switch for subsequent presses of CTRL+ALT+[arrowkeys]. Switcher "hud" should disappear when the keys are released Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
