The .desktop file should have GNOME;GTK; or GTK; in it's Categories, according to the standard:

  http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html

Fine.  That part of the spec strikes me a useless, though.  Gnumeric fits so
many categories that it hurts.
