GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 327119
Editable print preview
Last modified: 2006-01-17 19:19:49 UTC
Why not make the print preview editable? Many times, e.g. when you print a webpage or a pdf, my print would be better (or cheaper, saving my some ink) if I could remove or add something. E.g. add note when printing a webpage, or remove a big picture because I only want the text, etc. Other information:
There is some work to support re-ordering pages if an application uses gnomeprint's rendering api. However, there is nowhere near enough metadata going into the rendering api to support selecting objects for removeall. Given that the api is slated for deprecation as people move to cairo which also does not support that I don't see this feature being implemented even in the foreseeable future. It's an interesting thought, but it's not going to happen.
