Description Alexis Papadopoulos 2006-01-13 10:43:17 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch gnome-font-properties
2. Try to change a font
3. Select a font which file is unreadable by user

Stack trace:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Other information:
I'm using Debian SID (just upgraded to latest packages versions). I tried to
change the font used and came up to this. The problem is that the application
just crashes without any warning. I then used gnome-font-viewer which lead me to
the problem, since a more explicit message was printed in the terminal. For some
reason, the font files were inaccessible to other than root, therefore this
caused the crash reported above.

Oh, sorry for the double post. I tried to look around to avoid it, but I'm not quite familiar with bugzilla.
