Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.

Also, please specify which version of evolution and libsoup you are using and
steps to re-produce the problem.

martin.becker, please re-open the bug with the details. thanks.

I have no problems any more, but let me explain how this happened. I started Evolution 2.4.1 for the first time to configure it for use with a Microsoft Exchange server. When I got to the part where the contacts are configured, I made a typo with the URL. I completed the configuration and tried to access the contacts on the Microsoft server. It was then that Evolution responded with the this error. I restarted Evolution and entered the correct URL after which it was fine.

looks like some issue with the libsoup.
even when the GC server is entered wrongly, it should not crash.
But since it is not a normal scenario I am lowering the priority
of the bug.

which is the libsoup version you are using?
Comment 7 martin.becker 2006-01-12 09:18:55 UTC
Hi Sushma, libsoup2.2-8.
