Description Simos Xenitellis 2005-12-31 16:39:44 UTC
There are some bugs in the localisation of gweather/gnome-applets for this language, as described in

http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-i18n/2005-December/msg00157.html
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-i18n/2005-December/msg00156.html

(Either both or just one of the above URLs show issues with this language).
Comment 1 Ankit Patel 2006-01-02 08:45:53 UTC
I have commited the corrections. Can you please check the modifications & Rsolve this bug as FIXED.
Comment 2 Simos Xenitellis 2006-01-02 23:10:48 UTC
Could you please change the DEFAULT_LOCATION name (Ahmadabad) to the Gujarati script (instead of English)?
Apart from this, the rest are ok.

The effect of writing Ahmadabad in Gujarati is that when a person adds the Weather applet, she will see the default location name in her own language.
Comment 3 Ankit Patel 2006-01-03 05:26:47 UTC
I have transalated the LOCATION into Gujarati. So, please do the needful.
Comment 4 Simos Xenitellis 2006-05-21 23:47:19 UTC
Thanks Ankit for fixing this.
Closing the bug report.

(Ankit, if you are not listed as the official bugzilla contact for l10n-Gujarati, you can ask to become. This way you can close Gujarati-related bugs youself, in case someone else forgets, as in me).

Simos, Please let me know where/whom to ask... As project-maintainer is not active on translation i would like to have this privileges...

Ankit, if you can get Nirav (existing team leader) to send an e-mail to the gnome-i18n mailing list that says he is handing over to you, this would be the easiest and fastest way.
For example, see
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-i18n/2006-March/msg00010.html

If that does not work, contact me again for an alternative solution.

Simos, Actually Nirav is the real leader of my language community, just translation processs he doesn't handle. So, if you could add me also with him for some necessary access (e.g. bugzilla) then it would be good...
Comment 8 Nirav Mehta 2006-05-23 05:23:29 UTC
Simos, it would be great if you can grant Ankit and Kartik access to close the bugs related to translations. Does the system allow multiple admins?
Comment 9 Simos Xenitellis 2006-05-23 09:09:49 UTC
Thanks both of you for your responsiveness.

I am not sure if it is possible to have more than one contact for the L10n Bugzilla details for a language.

I am adding Olav to this report, who is a GNOME Bugzilla admin, for some input.

Nirav, for the process to change your Bugzilla contact details, see
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=l10n

A workaround with getting more than one persons on an e-mail address is to use a "distribution e-mail address". For example you can add a mailing list, or you can use GMail (ask me for an invitation) that forwards any e-mails received to several people.
Comment 10 Simos Xenitellis 2006-05-23 10:36:51 UTC
Just to make sure, are you all (Nirav, Ankit, Kartik) members of the GNOME-I18n mailing list?

If you are not, please subscribe to
http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

We can move this discussion there as other teams may find it interesting.
