Description Frederik Hertzum 2005-12-14 16:24:40 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I chose to have the names of icons next to the icons and I have icons with
short names, which are on the left most side of a nautilus window, the location
of the icon is dependent on the length of the name. The longer the name, the
better the location. Short names may result in the icon completly disappearing
from view.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Set nautilus to render text next to icons.
1. Create new directory(empty)
2. create a new file within the newly created directory.
3. rename the new file to a short name (1 or two letters gives the best result).

Actual results:
Depending on how long the name of the file, the icon belonging to the icon is
positioned far longer to the left than expected.

Expected results:
The icon would be positioned the usual place.

Does this happen every time?
Yes
