Description hibou57 2005-12-10 17:29:16 UTC
Version details: Windows
Distribution/Version: v0.94

Dia v0.94 under Win98SE

At startup, a message first says that it was not able to create the Dia personal
configuration directory. Then, a message say that it was not able to load the
external entity "null".

Finaly, permanently while working with Dia, the DOS console box, display
permanents warning of this kind "couldn't load font ms sans serif 8, fall back
to sans 8". The big trouble is that this warning is outputed each time Dia draws
text in a button on in a menu (what appene very offently, due to frequent redraw
of widgets). It appens about 2 or 3 times per seconde while working. This is so
much that Dia is so busy displaying thoses warning messages, that most of the
time it fall unable to display the drop-down menu!!!

What is the deal with this "ms sans serif" terror ? This is not the apocalypse
so... And I have checked that this font is present and fully usable on my computer.

May some one have an anwser ?

Regards

> external entity "null".

pretty sure that has been fixed in CVS

> "couldn't load font ms sans serif 8, fall back to sans 8"

It is a known error in WIMP (the GTK Windows integration)
http://gtk-wimp.sourceforge.net/

if you want to learn more you might try searching the mailing list archives
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/dia-list
but these are known issues and nothing to really worry about.
