configure.ac needs a macro called GST_GLIB2_CHECK that is not in any of the
gstreamer packages (gstreamer, gst-plugins-base, gst-plugins, gst-ffmpeg)

The gst-plugins module is obsolete -- only the -base, -good, and -ugly modules
are recommended. See http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/modules/. We are adding a
note to gst-plugins HEAD now with this information.
