GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 320808
Currency quote retrieval
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:54:18 UTC
Please describe the problem: I cant retrieve any currency (USD, GBP) quotes at the moment, since 1month or so. The base currency is EUR. If I set up a simple account structure with one USD currency account the error message is: "There was an unknown error retrieving the price quotes". In my working structure I get: "Unable to retrieve quotes for these items: ISO4217:USD; Continue using only the good quotes?" Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Created attachment 54387 [details] Quote retrieval with this file gnucash-1.8.12 results in the first described error (NB: stock retrieval works on my system)
I guess your installed quote provider simply changed its provided quotes. If in doubt, ask on the gnucash-de mailing list and maybe someone can tell you more.
What is the installed quote provider? is there a way to test currency quotes with dump-finance-quote? I don't have the German version installed, though, or why the german mailinglist, because of EUR? thx
Yahoo changed the web page where it provides currency quotes. You will need update your Finance::Quote installation from the cvs sources at sourceforge.net. This problem occurred and was fixed after the 1.10 release, so you willl need current cvs.
did you mean 1.8.10 (I have 1.8.12) or 1.10 isnt there only 1.9.x in the cvs? florian
