Description Matthias Clasen 2005-11-01 20:37:40 UTC
Even if I wiggle the mouse like crazy, gnome-screensaver insists on fading all
the way to black. It should allow me to interrupt this.
Comment 1 Matthias Clasen 2005-11-01 20:57:23 UTC
Seems this is a near-duplicate of bug 309142
Comment 2 William Jon McCann 2005-11-30 00:46:49 UTC
Will now interrupt when activating due to idle. An explicit activation,
however, cannot be interrupted.

Could this bug be please be reopened? We're experiencing the same problems now in Ubuntu again. If you need more information please tell me.
Comment 4 William Jon McCann 2006-03-07 14:49:22 UTC
I need more information ;)

There are two fades:
  1. the slow (~10 sec) fade out when the session is idle
  2. the more rapid (~1 sec) fade out when the explicitly locked

Number one is interruptable by keyboard and mouse activity and number two is not.

What exactly are you seeing?

Somebody pointed having the issue and I tried with the screen locking one, sorry for the noise, closing again
