GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 314668
gnome-panel-screenshot doesn't capture both screens in xinerama mode
Last modified: 2005-08-29 17:50:54 UTC
Please describe the problem: gnome-panel-screenshot acts strangely when taking a screenshot of the whole display : the left screen is captured correctly, but there is a transparent zone in the image instead of the content of the right screen. See the screenshot I join. Alt-print-screen on a window on the right screen works fine. import (from imagemagick) works too. I'm using xinerama with two graphic cards : a nvidia geforce 2 gts with proprietary drivers and glx, and an older pci card nvidia riva128, with no 3D acceleration available under linux. I'm running gnome 2.11.91 with gtk 2.8, which is cairo-enabled. I don't know much of it, but could it be because of the gl-accelerated glitz backend of cairo ? I'm joining a screenshot taken by gnome-panel-screenshot, and an excerpt from my xorg.conf Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Created attachment 51434 [details] Screenshot taken with gnome-panel-screenshot, where the bug is visible.
Created attachment 51435 [details] Here is the part of xorg.conf relative to the displays where gnome-panel-screenshot bugs.
I forgot to tell you : it worked fine when I was running gnome 2.10 and gtk 2.6.x
