GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 313713
Evolution crashes with Korean input when composing email
Last modified: 2008-11-15 22:03:12 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Press 'New Mail' (or Something.. I don't know exact title because it's Korean) 2. In the message body pane, enter some Korean characters Stack trace: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols? Please see [WWW]http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.
OK... here goes the new one... It's different from the previous one, but there is no line numbers and has lots of 'No symbol table info available.' I got this new trace with debuginfo rpm. I hope this information is still useful... --- Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution' Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1". OK I got another... sorry for the clumsiness because this is the first time I file a new bug report... I gave up getting detailed stack trace regarding iiimf-gtk package. Do you also need that part? could be a duplicate of bug 272078; at least reopening.
hmm. perhaps it's the same as bug 321310?
Bumping version to a stable release.
Both the expected dups are in Resolved state. Is this still an issue? Can this be tested with latest Evolution stable 2.22.3.1 and give traces if reproduced? TIA.
