Description Marc E. 2005-08-11 00:21:43 UTC
First of all, I put this bug here because I could not find a category for the
Take Screenshot feature, and it is bundled with gnome-panel AFAIK.

My feature requests are simple, first of all, allow Take screenshot to take a
screenshot of a selected area (Like Gimp 2.3 does.. you could check their code
sinc its GTK+ too), and for timed screenshots (sleep x && take screen).

The latter might seem like bloat, but it is very useful.

Another thing might be removing the "..." after the Take Screenshot menu label,
it currently is "Take Screenshot...", and also bundling a default hot key for
screenshots like Mac Os X does.

Taking a screenshot of selected area is a duplicate of bug 155061,
gnome-screenshot already has a --delay option and bug 79189 is about having an
UI for it and the hot key for taking a screenshot is Print Screen.
