Description Thilo 2005-08-01 08:09:46 UTC
I would like to see a feature that allows me to send out mail on certain dates.
This would be nice for birthdays or as a reminder for other people. My problem
is that I can prepare Mails in the Draft folder but sometimes forget them.

Well thats not really a duplicate. Bug 236121 looks for a way to send Emails timed (so an extention of the mailer). My request asks for an action of the calendar module to not only make popups but also send emails.

it is the same application but I would not call this duplicate, although both feature requests have the same goal. My request could be solved if there would be a predefined setting for the launch of external program. The only thing that would be necessary would be a chooser for an email draft. Thats what i would suggest: A user saves a draft and then sends it via the calendar. But from command line this is too complicated.
