Description Patrick Smits 2005-07-30 20:57:29 UTC
Please describe the problem:
A while back I had done a search in the mail folder "Sent". After that I hadn't
cleared the Search field. Just a few minutes ago I wanted to check for a mail in
that samen Sent folder only to discover that there were only two mails in it.
First I thought of a data thrashing bug in Evolution, but then I noticed the
search field still had my previous search term in it. This really might confuse
novice users, it sure did confuse me.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Do a search in a folder
2. Close Evolution or switch folders
3. Go back to the orignal folder and notice the search query is still there

Actual results:

Expected results:
I would expect the search field to be cleared. Especially after closing
Evolution or not having entered that folder the last few minutes (5-10 min. does
seem resonable)

Does this happen every time?
Yes
