Description e9825797 2005-07-27 12:54:16 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: nautilus
Severity: enhancement
Version: GNOME2.8.3 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Debian
Synopsis: remove trash-function for removable drives
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Trash
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
Description:
Please describe your feature request:

Nautilus should by default not create a .Trash folder on removable
drives (e.g. usbsticks) and delete files without moving them to trash.
The problem is that it is not possible to unmount the removable drive in
question after deleting files using nautilus (even after emptying trash)
without first killing nautilus: trying to unmount results in a message
saying that the drive is "busy".

At least one should be able to configure nautilus so that trash is only
used for certain harddisks/partitions.
