Description Ivan Wong 2005-07-26 19:40:59 UTC
On Win32, fallback depends solely on files pango.aliases and ~/.pango.aliases
Only sans, serif and monospace have aliases defined for different scripts. If
user wants to use, say, Comic Sans MS, for a cell in Gnumeric, he won't see
non-latin characters unless he has defined an alias for Comic Sans MS explicitly.

a workaround

A workaround that Gnumeric/Win32 will use temporarily.
Comment 2 Tor Lillqvist 2005-07-26 21:00:38 UTC
Hmm, seems like a rather complex workaround. A simpler patch is in bug #162681,
although it needs a bit more work. Should this bug perhaps be marked as a
duplicate of bug #162681? (Or maybe the other way around, this summarizes the
issue more concisely.)
Comment 3 Owen Taylor 2005-07-28 16:32:41 UTC
Marking this as a duplicate, since bug 162681 has relevant discussion
and patches.
