GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 311462
The Windows List is not usable in RTL (Right to Left) Panel mode
Last modified: 2005-09-16 16:48:02 UTC
Please describe the problem: When the Panel is working on RTL locale (Hebrew, Arabic, ect..) The position of the widget is not at the real position of the little graphical handle that let you move the applet (right to the applet), but it's on the left of the applet. This means (talking on the Windows List only): * If the Windows list is full, the applet (and the handle) is _always_ on the right of the panel, By draging the handle right and left you resize the applet and not move the handle and resize the applet. * The handle location is the real position plus the applet size, so when you add windows to the list or change the workspace, the handle moves to other location, even if it's locked. Steps to reproduce: 1. LANGUAGE=he_IL.UTF-8 gnome-panel (maybe you should also build this locale). 2. Play with the Windows List applet. Actual results: Expected results: The panel should be just mirrored when using RTL mode. The smart widget should understand that Its position and handle is on the right of the widget itself. Thanks! Does this happen every time? Other information:
Can someone look at this bug? It makes the GNOME Desktop non-usable for many Hebrew speakers and the Hebrew translation pointless. Thanks!
