GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 310609
DisplaySize or dpi is no longer recognized
Last modified: 2005-07-16 19:34:25 UTC
Please describe the problem: After upgrading libgtk2.0 to version 2.7.2 the size of the text (menu, in gnome applications etc) is to large. It is no longer recognizing the dpi from the gnome-control-center -> fonts -> details. In previous versions of libgtk changing that setting changed the size of all text on the screen immediatly. Steps to reproduce: 1. change the dpi-setting in gnome-control-center -> fonts -> details 2. 3. Actual results: the fontsize stays the same Expected results: fontsize should adjust to dpi-setting Does this happen every time? yes Other information: downgrading to the previous version solved the problem for me. Some additional information to my system: laptop with 1400x1050 resolution on a 14inch screen, so I have about 124 dpi. I'm running debian (testing/unstable) and tried the packages from experimental (libgtk2.0-0 and dependencies). I have set DisplaySize in /etc/X11/xorg.conf accordingly.
