Description Jason 2005-07-01 18:47:12 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I have Windows 98 and I just recently downloaded the GIMP because I enjoy
creating images, pictures, etc. Whenever I try to save a file or open a file, an
error message comes up that says:

Pango-WARNING (recursed) **: Couldn't load font "MS Sans Serif 8" falling back
to "Sans 8" aborting...

Then, the program will close and I lose my information.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a file
2. Attempt to Save it
3.

Actual results:
When you try to save it, an error message will come up. When you press 'OK', the
program will close and you will lose your information.

Expected results:
I would expect that I would be able to save/open files normally, but that never
happens for me.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, it has happened every single time. I haven't been able to save or open any
files.

Other information:
Please Help Me Because I Am Becoming Very Frustrated.

-Thank You

I've tried to uninstall and install the program several times, but they were to
no avail.

Try to install it without the Wimp GTK+ theme.

If I do this, then the program won't come up at all...

Nevermind. Problem Solved. Thanks You.
