Description Ross Burton 2005-06-24 11:24:31 UTC
Totem should have a way of selecting what sound card to output to on systems
with multiple cards. When I'm working on the sofa I often use a 30 quid USB
sound card to play Internet radio through the hifi, and a simple sound card
selection drop-down would be so much nicer than sodding around with esound.

how about gstreamer-properties? It may be nice to add to Totem at some point,
but this is ok for now, right?

Work-arounds for now:
For GStreamer:
- Modify the device used by ALSA in gstreamer-properties
For xine-lib:
- Modify the audio.device.alsa_front_device entry in ~/.gnome2/totem_config

Fixed for GStreamer:

        * src/backend/bacon-video-widget-gst-0.10.c:
        (bacon_video_widget_new): Set the profile property on the audio sink
        so it respects the GNOME settings for audio output

Please open a new bug if you're actually using the xine-lib backend.
